How do you cut 808 in FL Studio?
im using fl studio, is this something i have to do in the piano roll.
if you want to be sneaky and do it in the looper(can’t remember the name), right click on the sample and click “cut itself” then whenever you want the 808 to stop you just put in another 808 but turn the volume to zero..
What is an 808 kick?
“The TR-808’s kick drum sound is made using a resonating trigger pulse, similar in behaviour to the way that a drum head vibrates when hit. When a drum head is hit multiple times in succession, even using the same force, the way the sound resonates will change depending on the state of vibration from the drum head.
How loud should my 808 be?
Instead of dressing up an 808 with half-a-dozen signal processors, just try making it louder than the other instruments. Start with all your faders down. Bring up the 808 so it’s at a reasonable level in your DAW (probably somewhere around -18 dBFS). Then, bring in all of the other instruments around it.
How do you EQ kick in 808?
Try using the F6 it to carve out a space for the kick to gel together with the 808—cleaning up the low-end in your mix. Sidechaining will automatically turn down those frequencies in the 808 that clash when the kick hits. In order to make this happen, you need to send the kick signal through the F6 on the 808 channel.

Why are my 808s so quiet?
